Kara Warner, author, educator, and Program Director of the Nebraska Writers Collective, has been invited to facilitate a workshop at the Africa Dyslexia Conference. This international gathering brings together global advocates to explore strategies for supporting children with learning differences.
This journey to Ghana is more than a trip—it's a deeply personal and purposeful experience. As someone committed to amplifying voices, building bridges across cultures, and fostering meaningful change, presenting at this conference in Accra represents an opportunity to share my work on a global stage...
Ghana, with its rich history and significance as a cultural and ancestral touchpoint, holds profound meaning. This journey allows me to connect more deeply with the roots of resilience, storytelling, and community healing.
It’s also a moment to represent those who’ve poured into me—family, mentors, and community—and to stand in spaces where our stories and perspectives are not only welcomed but needed. This trip is about growth, connection, and honoring legacy while building a more inclusive and empowered future.
